In today's digital world, opportunities are abundant, but access to information about those opportunities remains uneven. Every year, thousands of scholarships, grants, competitions, fellowships, internships, developer programs, and academic initiatives go unnoticed by capable students—not because they lack talent, but because the information never reaches them. This challenge is particularly visible among students who do not have access to strong professional networks, specialized mentors, or well-connected educational communities. As a result, many life-changing opportunities remain concentrated within a small number of institutions and circles, while millions of students remain unaware of pathways that could significantly influence their futures. BitBuzz was founded to help bridge this gap. The project was started by Hridhaan when he was in Grade 9 after noticing how fragmented and inaccessible opportunity discovery had become for students. Valuable information was scattered across social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and private communities, making it difficult for students to consistently discover opportunities relevant to their interests and ambitions. Rather than creating another content platform, Hridhaan envisioned BitBuzz as a student-first opportunity infrastructure—a centralized system designed to collect, verify, simplify, and distribute high-value opportunities and educational resources in a format that students could easily understand and act upon. Over the next three years, BitBuzz evolved from a small experiment into a global student resource platform. By the time this report was written, Hridhaan was in Grade 12, and BitBuzz had reached more than 32,400 students across 50+ countries.
